Ed in Curaçao: three nights live at Blue Bay
Next week I’m flying to Curaçao. Blue Bay Golf & Beach Resort asked me to come and play three nights, and I didn’t have to think about that for very long. I’m going on my own, with my guitar, and every night I’m playing something different.
Wednesday 21 October: Campfire Live Music Sessions
Blend Beach Bar, Blue Bay · starts 6:30 PM
This one is a John Mayer and Eric Clapton night, with my feet in the sand. I’ve made a theatre show about each of them, so I know those songs a little by now.
Thursday 22 October: Happy Hour at Bayside
Bayside Boutique Hotel, Blue Bay · starts 6:30 PM
On Thursday I’m playing on the terrace of the Bayside Boutique Hotel. This is the night for my own songs. Make It On Your Own of course, and songs from my albums Closer Than Skin and Head, Heart & Hands. There’ll be a few covers too, and I’ll tell you how some of those songs came about.
Friday 23 October: Guitar Heroes Happy Hour
On the beach at Blue Bay · starts 6:00 PM
On Friday I’m wrapping up with a happy hour on the beach. Songs by Mayer and Clapton, but also the Eagles, Dire Straits, Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz. No need to sit still for it. Order a drink, have a chat, and in the meantime the sun goes down.
