Tricks Up My Sleeve is NPO Radio 2 Top Song!

Wow, what a start to 2016. My new single Tricks Up My Sleeve has barely been out and it’s already been named NPO Radio 2 Top Song! That means it’s the most important record on the station this coming week. The mega-ultra-special-of-the-week disc, so to speak. ;D. Honestly, I couldn’t have started the year better. For those in the know, yes, it’s the song I wrote during the Stud Muffins era. I just didn’t feel the song had reached its full potential yet. When I then played it again at Rob Stenders’ farewell show on 3FM, Rob strongly encouraged me to re-release it. Said and done! There’s a special guest playing on this single too: Aaron Sterling! Now you’re thinking: who? That’s the drummer for John Mayer (hero)!! Through mutual connections I got in touch with him, and I couldn’t resist asking him to play on ‘Tricks’. He even said yes! Incredibly cool.
