Tricks Up My Sleeve live with Gerard Ekdom on Radio 2

Today we were guests with the band on Gerard Ekdom’s show to perform the former NPO Radio 2 Top Song Tricks Up My Sleeve live. And on the very day it was announced that Eagles band member Glen Frey had passed away. Gutting! But the Tour de France stops for no one, so we carry on. As is customary with morning show appearances, playing on a breakfast show means the following: teeth out of bed very early (5 o’clock) to arrive in Hilversum just before 7. After that it’s a matter of setting up and hoping everything’s ready in time. Just before half past eight it was time: Tricks Up My Sleeve live!

We also got to play a song for the website. We went with Carry You Home. Since I have a new guitar and a new jacket to match, I thought it was nice to give this song a fresh coat of paint too.
