Gitaarmannen, the podcast

While writing my theater show, I realised that the guitar has pretty much shaped my entire life. Or, let me put it this way: the guitar and guitar music were always there at the most important moments in my life, and its sound forms the soundtrack of my existence. I figured other guitar players must have similar experiences. How great would it be to sit down for an hour and geek out about this magical piece of wood with six strings? In the end I just went ahead and did it. No interview experience whatsoever, so I was nervous. You’re allowed to know that.

We’re well on our way now, with 6 episodes already online. And not with just anyone, if you ask me. I’m talking about people like Spike, Paskal from BLØF, and Bertolf! I talk with these heroes about their lives through the lens of the guitar. There’s also plenty of room to nerd out about guitars and related gear, while keeping it enjoyable for non-guitarists too. Some episodes are also filmed, so you can watch those on YouTube.

In case you’ve forgotten exactly what a podcast is, let me quote Wikipedia for you:

A podcast is an audio broadcast where the audio file is offered on demand via web feeds. Thanks to the introduction of portable MP3 players like the iPod, this form of broadcasting quickly became popular among radio enthusiasts. The term podcast is a portmanteau of iPod and broadcast.
