Gitaarmannen 3 Is Done. What Will Gitaarmannen 4 Be?

Gitaarmannen 3 Is Done. What Will Gitaarmannen 4 Be?

Last night I played the final show of Gitaarmannen 3: John Mayer. At Ogterop, Meppel. The acoustic version, so just Simon and me on stage. Sold-out hall. Amazing atmosphere.

It was a challenge, this tour. Getting Neon into the fingers. Making the die-hard John Mayer fans in the audience (and believe me, they were there) feel that this wasn’t a cheap tribute, but a genuine ode to the master. Played by someone who loves it. I think it worked. No, I know it worked. The audience made that clear every night.

From the very first notes of Neon to the last chord of Gravity. From sold-out venues to audiences that stayed on their feet en masse. I got to play John Mayer’s music all across the Netherlands and it felt like a gift every single night.

Anyway, there’s one question I heard after every show. In the foyer, at the merch table, on Instagram, via email. Always the same question:

“Ed, what will Gitaarmannen 4 be?”

I’ll be honest: I know.

I know which artist it will be. I know which music I want to play. And I can tell you I already get goosebumps just thinking about it.

But I can’t tell you yet.

And now? Living Room Concerts.

After months in theatres it’s time to get close again. Literally. Because alongside the theatre shows, living room concerts have always been my favourite way to perform.

No stage, no light show, no distance. Just me, my guitar and a room full of people. That’s where songs hit hardest.

For this spring and summer I’ve opened my calendar again for living room concerts across the country. Whether you have a birthday, or just want to organise an evening with friends that nobody will ever forget: I’ll come to your home and play.

Built Myself, No Hassle

Something you might find interesting: I built the booking page entirely myself. Turns out my old IT background still comes in handy. No Calendly, no third parties in between. Just book directly, pick a date, pay, done.

Book your living room concert via boeken.edstruijlaart.nl and use the discount code ED26 for a discount on your booking. While supplies last!

See you soon. In your living room, or back in the theatre before long.
