360 Degree Video: Made of Stars
Last week Lisa Lois and I went to Scheveningen. “Nice, a couple of lazy musicians just soaking up the sun, right?!” The answer to that is: nope. We went to Scheveningen with the folks at VR Composers to record a 360 degree video for Made of Stars. How cool! But now I can already hear you thinking: “Sorry Ed, but what on earth is a 360 degree video?” Well, it’s a video where you can look all the way around, almost as if you were actually there when the video was shot. Totally great if you have a Virtual Reality headset like the Samsung Gear VR. It really feels like you’re sitting right there in our laps.
Of course! That’s absolutely possible too. You can watch the video with your mouse or with your phone. When you move your phone, the image moves along with the direction you’re pointing. Cool, right? And all thanks to the wonderful people at VR Composers. If you want to shoot your own clip like this, I’d highly recommend reaching out to them through their website! Also a shout-out to the people at MOOD Beach for letting us use their terrace.
